I made Mistakes

Fifteen days back, I decided to consistently write and publish for 30 days. I decided to write no matter how my day was. I decided to write even if the writing was not up to mark. And, I failed.

I wrote continuously for three days. On the fourth day, I skipped. I thought about compensating the next day. And, the cycle repeated. On the seventh day, I tried writing and compensating. I failed again. After failed attempts, on the thirteenth day I wrote successfully. On the thirteenth day, I published the article successfully. On the thirteenth day, I realized my mistakes.

Focus on consistency

I entered the arena to write consistently everyday. I failed at it. Because, I thought of writing perfectly. That was my first mistake. I should have wrote the article irrespective of how good and bad the article was. I should have focused on writing.

Positive response

There were few reads or clicks on my article. On the fifteenth day, as I checked my stats few positive response boosted my confidence. Focus on writing. Some will be good. Some might be bad. Even worse. By performing day by day, the work improves. And positive response helps to write, even though the environment is surrounded by self doubts.

Read daily

When there is input, there will be output. Reading helps to understand different styles of writing. By reading we can inculcate the styles of famous authors and bloggers and improve our writing.

Write daily

When I focussed more on self doubts, ideas never generated. When I focussed on writing a piece of article, I felt overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by finishing the task. Overwhelmed that one more day wasn't wasted. Overwhelmed as I wrote.

To become a great writer, to improve as a writer, writing daily is the only way. At Least one hour a day is enough.

To become good at anything, you have to do it daily. To become a good writer, you have to write daily.

By writing everyday, I focussed on the thing I loved the most. Writing

Just keep writing. Focus on consistency.
